It is with sadness that the Placer County Sheriff’s Department announces the passing of retired K9 “Fello”, partner of Rob Pirtle. “Fello” had many great arrests over the years, but retired after a serious bout with stomach torson. He was 13 years old and is missed by his family and members of the Department.

The Foothills K9 Association thanks all who particapated in our “Help a Hero” event at Animal Nutrition on Sept. 25th. This event is our major fundraiser. Thanks to vendor participation, a band ,dunk tank and a generous public, funds are available to continue our mission. This years focus was on medical needs. Thank You
K9 “Morris”, retired, partner of Lt. Jason Spano passed away on June 11 2011. Morris was a 12 year old German Shepard certified in patrol,narcotics and an outstanding tracker. Morris served his community and family well. He is greatly missed by his family and those he served. Our condolences go out to his family and friends. See [...]
Thanks to all who attended our fund raiser at Laughs Unlimited on Sunday June 5th. We have received many,many positive comments. The food was great, the comics very talented and the raffle prizes awesome. Best of all a very successful fund raiser for the Foothills K9 Association!!
Palm Springs Ca. Police Officers Shot and K9 Killed In Overnight Shooting

Two officers were injured, but will recover. Ike was the first K9 killed while on duty in Palm Springs. He was a pal to the entire force and is deeply missed. [...]
Roseville Officer Scott Miszkewycz and K9 Apollo assisted in a search Monday for a missing Alzheimers patient. Several officers were on the search when Apollo discovered the individual in a carport. GREAT JOB APOLLO. See more on facebook
